Carleton University Human Rights Society
The Carleton University Human Rights Society is located on the traditional, unceded, and unsurrendered lands of the Anishinabewaki (ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ) and Omàmìwininìwag (Algonquin) Nations. We recognize that Ottawa is situated on lands impacted by colonial agreements including Crawford’s Purchase (1783), and by the violent history of the residential school system, including institutions such as the Convent of Our Lady of Mercy School.
